How does AI support the tutor?+
AI helps prepare feedback from the student’s work. The tutor checks the suggestions, adds their own guidance and decides what to return. Each saved attempt shows one assessment: the tutor’s when they adopt or revise it, otherwise the AI estimate. Neither is an official IELTS score or a guaranteed exam result.
What can my tutor see?+
Once you confirm the connection, your tutor can see your practice history, reports and shared assignments. This includes more than the work you send for review. Their draft feedback stays private until returned, and your original submission stays saved.
Who pays for the workspace?+
Tutors choose a plan for their active students. Work covered by that workspace needs no separate student subscription. Independent students can use Workspace free or add AI feedback for $10 per month.
Are lessons and tutor feedback included?+
Lessons and tutor review time are separate from Threom access. Your tutor sets their own fees and agrees with you which work they’ll review and when.
Can I start if I don’t have a tutor yet?+
Yes. Start practising independently with Workspace, then add a paid Workspace + AI plan for AI feedback. When you have a tutor, connect with them for personal guidance. Threom does not provide or assign a tutor.
Which IELTS skills can I practise?+
Speaking Parts 1–3, a full Speaking mock, Three-Room practice, Academic and General Training Writing Task 1, and Writing Task 2 are available now. Reading and Listening are on the way. Pronunciation and delivery feedback need audio; typed text alone isn’t enough.
What if AI feedback is unavailable?+
Your original response stays saved. Your tutor can still review the submitted work and give you a next step, even when AI feedback is unavailable.
